Meet the Happy Meemaw

Welcome to my new community!  As the Happy Meemaw, I am excited to share insights on some of my favorite interests.  Writing has always been one of my favorite things.  Over the years, writing changed from a hobby to a part of my career.  Now that I’m retired, I look forward to writing and sharing with those interested in reading my thoughts and interacting with my site.

 

Here’s a little about me:

• I’ve been married for nearly 41 happy years, 20 of those spent as a Navy wife

• I am a Die Hard St. Louis Cardinals fan – I bleed Cardinal red

• I’m an avid reader and love participating in challenges and book clubs

• I love all kinds of music, with rock music my favorite; I do love dabbling in other genres as well

• I love to cook and entertain – I am a semi-homemade cook at best

• I love watching all kinds of sports and I love live music

 

After 20 years working lots of different jobs, followed by a 20-year career with the US government as a public affairs officer, I’ve met so many people of all walks of life and love interviewing people to tell a story.  My retirement project is to create a podcast that shines a light on lots of interesting topics – some fun and some serious – and telling the stories of family, friends and community members.

 

The Happy Meemaw will be my happy place to talk about my interests, tell some stories, and make new friends.
