Hard Cider with John Jenkins

John Jenkins and I became acquainted while he was serving on the King George County, VA, Board of Supervisors, and I was still working as public affairs officer for our local Navy base. I knew John was a military veteran who worked in law enforcement while representing the local voting district. As with many friendships, once he left public service, we remained "friends" via Facebook. I loved following John's posts about his beautiful family and especially loved his sense of humor.
Several months ago, he shared that he had won some pretty impressive awards for the hard cider he and his wife had made at home, and I immediately wanted to hear his story. That home hobby turned into a business, Stars Front Cider, that recently took the bold step of moving out of his home and into a facility so it can be distributed locally. I couldn't be happier for him and his family, and I look forward to supporting this veteran-owned small business. It's always great when a hometown kid makes good.
I hope you enjoy our conversation and find some inspiration. Believe in yourself, work hard, and great things will happen!
