Today I'm sharing a very special episode of The Happy Meemaw podcast - a chat with Carolyn W. Oglesby, whose late parents, Ira and Gladys West, were mathematicians who helped create US Navy programs, including GPS, used worldwide. Carolyn and I discuss their professional and personal legacies, growing up on Dahlgren Navy Base, and the Ira and Gladys West Collection sale, items from their personal collection, to benefit Dahlgren Heritage Museum on Fri, Oct 23 from 10 am - 5 pm at Barnesfield Park in King George, VA. The museum, located at 3540 James Madison Pkwy in King George, will also be open on Oct 23, so be sure to stop in for a visit.

Thanks to Carolyn for chatting with me and sharing stories about her parents, and thanks to the West family for their generosity in benefiting Dahlgren Heritage Museum.

Thanks for listening!
