Change and Transitions with Janel Donohue

Once again, this week's podcast features a friend I made over 20 years ago through Combined Federal Campaign. When I met her, Janel Donohue was the CFC manager for our local United Way chapter. She was enthusiastic and joyful, and it was no surprise that she eventually rose to become president of the chapter.

In January, she announced her retirement. This summer, for the first time in over 25 years, she would find herself seeking a new purpose beyond serving her community and improving the lives of many of its residents. Following the suggested notion that taking a vacation would soften the blow of leaving her usual schedule, she set out with her husband and daughter on an excellent adventure, visiting family and taking in so many sights.

Now, she's adjusting to her new reality and exploring the next path she might follow. I'm so glad she took the time to sit down with me and talk about the transition and what she sees for her future.

Thanks for listening!
