This is the first official “The Happy Meemaw Reads” podcast, something I hope to do on many Fridays. I wanted to reach out to some of my favorite authors, so imagine my excitement when I messaged one of my favorite fan fiction writers, Jamie Targaet, and asked if we could chat, and she said yes! She couldn't have been more gracious and I felt like I'd known her for a long time as we talked.
I’m pretty late to the table with fan fiction. A story under Jamie’s handle jtargaryen18 on the app Tumblr fell in my lap, and I gladly jumped down that amazing rabbit hole. Jamie’ boasts and extensive catalog of great stories and she does amazing work with many of Chris Evans’s characters (he’s my fave).
I was surprised to find that Jamie lives only a few hours from me, and she even shared a story at the end of our interview about a place with which I’m familiar. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this conversation. I loved learning about how she creates.
