Writing Thrillers with Jeffrey James Higgins

I met the author Jeffrey James Higgins at the Stafford BookFest last year, and it's truly a pleasure to have a writer of his caliber on The Happy Meemaw Reads.

He is the author of seven novels, including the wildly successful Nathan Burke series. The fourth book in the series, The Uganda Protocol, will be released on March 31. The release follows Havana Syndrome, recently named a best book of 2025 by Library Journal.

It isn't just the talent Jeffrey has for writing - he has "walked the walk." He has wrestled a suicide bomber, fought the Taliban in combat, and chased terrorists across five continents. He received the Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Heroism and the DEA Award of Valor, and has appeared on CNN, Fox News, and ABC News, among others.

In his spare time (this is sarcasm), he owns Elaine’s Literary Salon in Alexandria, VA, where he counsels writers, interviews authors, and hosts a podcast. He also manages his wife's award-winning restaurant, Elaine's, in Alexandria, VA.

Please check out his website, Thriller author Jeffrey James Higgins, where you can learn more about all of his writing, his podcast, and the services he offers to writers. His books are available through his website and on Amazon.

Thanks for listening!
