Phil Gemmell is With the Band

On today's Meemaw Music Monday, I got a chance to meet a fellow music lover who is also a teacher and talented player. Phil Gemmell is doing something with his life that lots of people can only dream of. After lots of stress in the finance industry at his day job, he took his talent for creating music and walked away from a 9-to-5 job and followed his dream. Now he teaches others of all ages to play and is part of several bands that play a variety of music.

The best part of meeting Phil was learning how his parents had a huge part in his music education and how they've enjoyed the same bands together over the years. I love my kids' love of so many types of music, and how they can sing along to so many classic rock songs as well as their favorites growing up and modern day songs as well.
