Top 5 Chicago Songs w/Julie Pietryla and Kathy Nicol

On this month's Meemaw Music Monday, I'm joined again by my friend (and former pen pal) Julie Pietryla and chatting with us from Texas, my friend Kathy Nicol, new to the podcast and a huge influence on my childhood musical influences.

We are talking about our top five songs by iconic rock group and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Chicago. It was actually Kathy's late brother Floyd that pulled us both onto the Chicago bandwagon. Julie grew up near the city of Chicago and given that all of us were born in the early 60's, there was no escaping the string of hits that graced AM radio during our childhood.

I love that our choices are so different, a testament to the vast catalog of songs from this great band. It's always a blast talking about music with others that are so knowledgeable. My hope is that you'll find these songs (if you haven't heard them before) and give them a listen. Chicago still tours, after over 50 years as a band. The original members that appear live has dwindled to 1, but the accomplished musicians and vocalists playing their legendary hits carry on their historic legacy.

Thanks for listening!
